Cable Congress Gala Dinner

 As tradition would have it, a sumptuous Gala Dinner will take place
at the end of the first full day of the congress. This year in Berlin,
the Cable Congress 09 Gala Dinner will be kindly hosted by Kabel
Deutschland and will be held at the Zeughaus, the home of the German
Historical Museum.
Gala Dinner Transport:
Shuttle buses will leave from the three Congress hotels
to the Gala Dinner venue at 18.30. There will be hostesses at the hotel
entrances to give directions.
At the Gala Dinner you will be seated within elegant surroundings
and experience an exquisite menu, together with a night entertainment
and a perfect opportunity to network with the Cable Congress delegates
and speakers. The Gala Dinner is part of the programme for all participants
with a full congress registration.

About the Gala Dinner location:
Zeughaus - The home of the German Historical Museum.
On 28 May 1695, the Elector Friedrich III of Brandenburg
(who after 1701 called himself King Friedrich I in Prussia), gave the
orders to lay the foundation stone of the Berlin "Zeughaus",
the Arsenal. The first architect was Johann Arnold Nering. He was followed
by Martin Grünberg and then, from 1698 to 1699, by Andreas Schlüter.
The building was given its final exterior form by Jean de Botd in 1706.
But it wasn't until 1730 that the construction was finally completed.
The Zeughaus is the oldest building located on the avenue Unter den Linden.
It is one of most beautiful secular buildings of the Baroque period in
northern Germany and owes its special place in art history to the high
quality of its sculptural works.
